Houston LEAAP is committed to promote a postive image of Asian / Pacific officers in law enforcement; its commitment includes, protecting, supporting, and serving its communities and various law enforcement agencies.

What We Do

• Establish and maintain lines of communication between Asian / Pacific officers and the leaders of their law enforcement agencies
• Promote recruitment of Asian / Pacific Americans into law enforcement careers and provide postive role models
• Actively participate in crime prevention, youth development, and senior citizens programs in the Asian / Pacific community
• Provide scholarships for the members of LEAAP
• Assist and counsel in the career development of Asian / Pacific officers
• Develop camaraderie among members LEAAP members and other officers through planned social events
• Maintain an open, truthful, and meaningful relationship between the officers and the Asian / Pacific  community
• Provide an open forum to discuss concerns and issues related to law enforcement
