LEAAP is committed to promoting a positive image of the Asian / Pacific officer and continues to assist its members by addressing issues of discrimination, hiring practices, language barriers, mistrust of law enforcement by the community, and Asian stereotype.

Who We Are

The Houston Law Enforcement Association of Asian Pacifics (LEAAP) was founded in 1991 as an employee group to represent the Asian American officers of the Houston Police Department.  The association became an essential network between law enforcement and the Asian community.  It has develped into an association with members representing various law enforcement agencies within the Houston area.
