Employee Representation- 

The president of LEAAP meets with the heads of Houston Police Department on a regular basis and presents issues that directly affect the members as well as the general population of the police department.

Scholarship Programs- 

LEAAP offers three scholarships for its  members;

• Luis Lee Scholarship- for the children of LEAAP members
• Tony Trinh Scholarship-continuing education reimbursement fund
• Martha Wong Fund-reimbursement for members who have promoted

Membership Assistance Fund-

Financial assistance for members or their families in need by the way of fundraising events.

Mentorship Program- 

A staff of officers will be available to answer any questions for the probationary officer during the FTO program.

By becoming a LEAAP member, you are entitled to participate several membership programs that can assist an officer in the time of need.  We have several programs that are exclusively available to LEAAP members, which include scholarship programs, newsletters and a mentor program.
